All Around FAQs
Where and when is the wedding?
We’re getting married on April 18, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with a reception following at Bayside Event Center. Our mass will begin promptly at 11:00 am, and the reception will begin at 3:00 pm to allow plenty of time for travel to the second location!
Where should I stay?
We haven’t reserved any hotel blocks, but Galveston has plenty of great options! Feel free to book wherever feels right for your travel style. Need help choosing? We’re happy to share recommendations.
What time should I arrive?
We recommend arriving at Sacred Heart by 10:30 am to allow time to park, find your seat, and settle in before mass begins promptly at 11:00 am. We will have ushers to help you find your seat. We kindly ask that guests be seated by 10:50 am to ensure we begin on time.
Will there be transportation?
We won’t have a shuttle service scheduled, so please plan your transportation accordingly! Uber, Lyft, and carpooling are great options, and self-parking is available at both locations.
What is the nearest airport?
The closest major airport is William P. Hobby Airport in Houston, TX, which is labeled HOU. We recommend flying in there because of the 45-minute proximity to Galveston compared to IAH.
Are my kids or plus one invited?
We’re so excited to celebrate with our closest family and friends! If your invitation and RSVP include a guest or your children by name, they are absolutely invited. Due to space limitations at our venues, we’re unable to accommodate additional guests beyond those listed on the invitation. We truly appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate with you!
Ceremony FAQs
-
No, of course not! Everyone is welcome! While our ceremony will be a full Nuptial Mass, we would be honored to have all of our loved ones there to witness this special moment, regardless of religious background or beliefs. We understand that not everyone may be familiar with Catholic traditions, and that’s completely okay. Your presence and support mean the world to us, and we invite you to join us in whatever way feels most comfortable, whether that’s participating in the service or simply being there to share in the joy of the day. -
You’re welcome to participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable. If you’re unfamiliar with Catholic Mass, just follow the lead of others around you and the provided program/guide, no pressure!

Please avoid spaghetti straps, exposed midriffs, and short hemlines.
For gentlemen, we kindly request suits and ties or similarly formal attire. Dress shirts and slacks are appreciated, and we ask that guests refrain from wearing shorts, sandals, or overly casual clothing.
Thank you for honoring the sanctity of this celebration with us.

Yes! As of right now, we will be offering Communion to the whole ceremony party. In keeping with Catholic tradition, we kindly ask that only practicing Catholics who are in a state of grace receive the Eucharist. If you are not Catholic or choose not to receive Communion, you are warmly invited to either remain seated or come forward during Communion to receive a blessing. To receive a blessing, simply cross your arms over your chest as you approach the priest. We are grateful for your presence and your respect for this sacred part of our wedding ceremony.
